Rs200Z Diff Problem

Just bought and RS200z about a month back,

and when I turn the steering full from stand still,

the rear begins to shudder and shake as if the diff is locked, and is pulling

one wheel along.

It doesn't shudder or shake in a straight line, although at higher speeds of about

90miles/h or 150km/h, I could hear a humming sound from the rear of the car.

I got a friend to open the diff and have a look but everything seemed fine,

it wasn't welded locked as some drifter do, so the LSD oil was replaced, but nothing changed.

Does any one have a working diff for sale or had a similar problem and managed to

solve it.

It could have an aftermarket LSD in it. Could you tell if it was a torsen or plate lsd in there when you looked?

if you can find out any more about your clunky diff, let me know and i may well consider a swap for my prfectly sound OEM one ;)

I will take the car to a diff specialist sometime next week and get them to have a look,

and advise on what ratio and type of diff it is, I wouldn't want to give anyone something that has problems either,

it must be some kind of an after market diff though, I dont think the factory would of sent it out the way it is now.

there is an IS200 at above breaker, but it has the non limited slip diff (A02A).

Have a look on your chassis plate for the diff code. This will tell you what it came with from the factory.

You'll have an axle number like A01A, A01B, A02A, A02B etc

'B' denotes LSD

You can email me your chassis number & I can confirm in Microcat what ratio you have. 4:100 is the most common
