Semi Auto - Clutch Slip Or Paranoia?

Ok so I have been driving the car now for a few days and something is just bugging me with the semi auto box. Having only ever had manual cars before I can't make accurate judgement on this so wanted to ask your advice.

Basically, it feels to me like the clutch is slipping slightly. As an example, I'm doing 80mph on the motorway and I take my foot completely off the gas. I press it back down again (not heavily) and the revs go from 3.5 to 4k. Then after a few seconds, without moving my foot at all they will drop down to about 3.75k. The car has not changed gear.

This happens in every gear, even when at low speeds. It sounds to me, particularly at low speeds that its almost like the clutch hasn't fully engaged?

Another explanation would be its almost like the engine is providing a small boost of power which cuts out a few seconds later, but this might be (and I imagine is) complete bollocks!!

I can explain in much more detail, but didn't want to over complicate with the first post. I think it may just be me getting used to the car, to be honest the extra revving sounds great at low speeds, but if this could be a problem I want to get it checked out.
