i would be most grateful if someone could post a guide as to the removal of the radio surround etc as i have a squeek in that area.

Here have a look at this link it's the DIY guide for the navigation hack. And shows you how to remove that area.

Squeeks and rattles are very common around the clip areas and where the plastic meets plastic. Insulate these areas with some sound deadening foam.

Also, after reading the guide if you're not too sure about the vent removal process then watch the following video to see how you remove the vent.

thank's ahmed,i took out the vent to investigate but i still have the squeek.the strange thing is that the squeek occurs when firing up whilst still being stationary.

help anybody?

You sure it's not coming from the instrument cluster? theres a known rattle that comes from there. It's quite easy to get to aswell.

if you want to remove the entire cluster, have a read of the following thread. But if you want to just access it to check it out, then you can simply remove the side cover by pulling it out and pull out the vent and you will have plenty of room to see behind the cluster :D
