Hay all,

I am new memeber.. I have a question to ask and I hope you can help me out.

I have a Altezza RS200 SXE10 - 3S-GE. 1999. Recently I was away on work, and parked the Altezza in the airport. when I got back, I stupidly

left the roof light on. I flattened the Battery. I called airport services, he had Battery Buster with him. I told him to wait till I had the key in starting possion, but he had already connected the buster to the Battery. The car started and stopped, I tryed again. This time it stated again but it was not reving out right. it was backing fireing and would not rev out at all. It seemed like it was not getting enough fuel or air, or it was out of timeing.

Has anyone had a serminilar problem. When I drove the car to the airport it was running fine.. Can a Battery buster send a voltage sock through the ECU..

Any suggestions would be a great help..

If I rev it really slowly its fine, but if I rev it very quick it studders and dies in power

Hi and welcome to the LOC sorry your 1st post is a problem with your Altezza.

Have you managed to recover the car?

Is the EML lit indicating a fault?

Do you have a locking fuel cap so some idiot can't mess with your fuel?

If the Battery was completely flat the ECU may be in relearn mode so things may improve in time, other things to look for especially if the weather was cold and damp are the coil packs and their related wiring.

Sorry can't be more specific as I have an LS400.

Some of the Altezza owners will no doubt chip in soon.

Cheers,

Steve

Hay steve,

thanks for the reply..

I I think I know what happend now. The bloody Battery buster users, most of put the leads on back wards, and set a charge throught the ECU and wirleling colie..

I have been talking with Toyota, they said to check the Toyota Mass Air Flow Meter 22204- 21010. So I am trying to find one.. Cost (€120)

So I will see how it goes..

Cheers

Nigel
