Issue number 3 with my IS200.

I need to replace the front lower ball joints and have seen some advertised on eBay @ £50 for a set, but then it is not genuine Toyota/Lexus parts.

or I can get the genuine Lexus part for double the price.

my question: are there any difference? would the Lexus part last longer?

I'm in exactly the same position and am scratching my head with this too.

Part of me says sod it, go genuine and pay the extra at least you know quality is assured. The other side of me says, but I can replace both sides for the price of 1 genuine....the fact his neg feedback does bring up quality a few times (although different cars/parts) doesn't help!

People on here say Autoprochassis parts are fine though and many people buy off them.

That said, I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for" so if its half the price, is it going to last half as long? I expect a smaller upfront cost now but it'll cost the same (if not more) in the long run....so go with your bank balance!

Go for the eBay ones. There's nothing wrong with them. I use them aswell as plenty of other people on here. Just cause lexus overcharge for parts doesn't mean they are definitely going to be any better. Who knows, they may all come from the same factory
