Painted Calipers

Finally got around to tidying up my brake calipers over the weekend. As you can see from the pic I took of them when I put the EBC pads in they were looking a little manky.

Took to them with a wire brush attached an electric drill & a can of brake clean. That cleaned them up nicely. Thought about just spraying clear coat over the polished metal but I had brought a can of K&H black caliper paint on Friday so I decided to use it. 3 coats of black & 1 clear came up quiet nice.

& to congratulate myself on a job well done...I had some of that fancy imported beer waiting for me haha :hehe:

Yep it's pretty smooth. 3 coats of paint & one of clear made sure of that. You could put another coat of clear on if you wanted. The black will help hide the dust a bit too.

I've seen others after they've finished with the wire wheel go over it with a small grinding wheel to really get it smooth.
