Removing Oil Filter

Hi

doing a cheaky service tomorow, anyway seen were the oil filter is located, do most people find it easier to remove the wheel when getting to it? And also is it nessary to use the proper filter tool that fits over the top or do most people find it can be lostend by hand or i do have a chain tool around somewere...

I've never removed the wheel to get to the oil filter, but I would definitely recommend a tool that fits over the end and can be used with a ratchet driver. There is very little room to get a chain-type tool in there and they can be too stiff to remove by hand.

You may need to remove the under tray to get at the oil filter (model dependent). Here's the basic service guide http://bahamutcars.f...e/m_lu_0003.pdf

Best oil filter removal tool is the cup type as shown in that pdf. Best of the strap style is the chain type, all others I've used are next to useless. Mind you it should only be hand tight but guys like to over tighten them.
