220D Exhaust Back Box Options

Recommended Posts

I have been searching around for a while but I cannot find any aftermarket back box for my 220d.

I would appreciate if somebody enlighten me if are there any? I don't want to fit the dual exhaust from the 250, I want to keep it as much original as possible and as quiet as possible.

Many will agree that the 220d backbox is rather ugly, compared to some diesel audis with the twin chrome pipes.

I'm actually thinking of buying a simple 3" chromed, rolled tail pipe of eBay and after chopping the bended pipe of the original exhaust weld this on just sticking a couple of centimeters outside the bumper cut.

To complete that I will paint the rest of the back box with black matt high temp. paint.

3" chrome tail pipe

Any comments, feedback will be highly appreciated.

Would that be chavish....?
