Hi Lexus Club Members

Following a week or more of virtually impossible driving conditions (I live in the High Peak area of Derbyshire)My LS 430 has decided to lock me out! A few days ago I opened the boot (with the remote) to access some shopping bags. I have just tried to enter the car and all the doors are locked. The security lights on the dash are not functioning (the light on the remote is working) however, the boot does not secure itself!(presumably since I last opened it). Is the fact that the boot does not lock that this is causing the locking mechanism to malfunction? Any help would be much appreciated. Gabysgrandad. PS. My handbook is in the glovebox!

Hi Gabysgrandad and welcome to this vast resource.

I hope since you posted that you have been ploughing through the search facility results. I have seen something similar posted by a 430 owner before.

My own expertise lies in the Scorpion T5000 fitted to many MKIII LS400's. Is the light on in the boot when you open it? There is a thought in my mind that the car Battery may be flat. The solution to the problem if that is the case is definately in a thread on here.

Thanks Steve & "RAC" Joe ! All sorted, fortunately was able to gain access with the key and the investment of high duty leads. This is where owners clubs come into their own, helpful, friendly advice with no fear of being ripped off. I hope I can reciprocate in the future. Gabysgrandad.
