Is200 Ignition Barrel Problem

Just today On my 2000 is200 the ignition barrel got loose and steering won't lock

It seems that the barrel fell away from column

Any ideas pls

Take the covers off the steering column, you'd have a better idea what is wrong. It could be the bolts or screws that hold the barrel in place have worked themselves loose.

Worst case scenario is you need a new ignition lock.

Took the covers off to inspect and here's the problem

It looks like the previous owner was at this after seein a few marks on part

I think whole unit has to be replaced
