New kid on the block

I'm a retired dutchy who lives, together with my better half, in Limburg, the Netherlands.

Took ownership of a my '20 UX300E on May 18.

On this forum I want to learn a lot and share the 'good' and inevitable minute bid of 'bad' of having a 300E as daily runner.

Usually our annual mileage is around 6,200 miles

Are you happy with the car? What is the range you get out of it or doesnt it matter as you charge at home?

To start with your last remark: got my own driveway & a flat roof covered with solarpanels. So basically it doesn't matter too much for let say 350 days a year. The balance of 15 days it might matter as during those days we do a 350 km roundtrip to family and friends in the Randstad / Flevoland.

But having said that we think that during those visits a splash & go at one of the public charging points will do the trick. 

2 Years driving experience in a 64kWh Hyundai Kona learned us that on average we equal or even better the WLTP range as stated by the manufacturer.

Time will tell is that is also the case with our UX300E

And yes, although we only did a 70 km roundtrip on local country roads today, we are perfectly happy with our new EV. It leaves her South Korean equivalents dead in their tracks [so to speak]
