Cylinder Head Cooked- Advice Needed

Hi there

I'm a complete newbie on these boards and a bit thick when it comes to cars. My beloved IS200 Sport broke down recently after a long journey. Radiator and expansion tank need to be replaced but more serious is the damage to the cylinder head. Valves 2-5 are kaput. Took it to a rebore specialist who told me that the head is basically scrap.

My question is really what can I do from here? The car is in great condition so I am loathe to sell it for peanuts as a project for someone on eBay...

Can I get another cylinder head or would a second hand engine be the best bet? The car has 104,000 on the clock.

All advice would be very gratefully received.

Cheers

Bill

to be honest coming from a tecs point of view youd be better looking for a low milage engine from a newer car....see the thing is most scrappys wont split a good engine so in order for you to get a head something must had went wrong with the engine..

also you can have an engine out and in in around 4 hours..
