Radiator Coolant Loss

Hi anyone have any experience of initially untraceable coolant high usage/ loss on Mark 1 rx300

Hi yes have the same issue. Bought the car last year and I have put about 6 pints in over the past 8 months. It has an LPG conversion which is excellent and I have seen on one or two web sites a view that this might cause the issue.

I cant see evidence of any leaks anywhere so just top up with a mix of antifreeze and water.

when you say loss can you clarify?

My wife's old series I always used to eject most of the coolant from the filter/expansion bottle, but the radiator itself was always full. I gave up trying to keep the coolant above the minimum mark on the expansion bottle - never had any problems with the cooling system in the 4 years+ of ownership

If you are filling up, you really should use the Toyota Red premixed coolant to avoid any corrosion issues in later life.
