Hi,

My wing mirror on my 2007 is220d has been knocked in a car park and is now loose. Just wondered if it easy to tighten back up or does the door card need to come off to do this?

Thanks.

Hello,

If it is loose where it joins onto the door panel yes the door trim will need removing and the embelisher.

However I would expect to find the plastic moulding where the screws fit into to be broken not just a case of the screws becoming loose within it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. The wing mirror is loose where it pivots on the section that bolts to the car door not on the car door itself. It still folds in electrically fine but now wabbles which is quite annoying!

Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Found a post on an American site that describes taking the mirror apart and hitting the connector with a mallett! The setup doesn't appear to be the same on IS220d so I would appreciate any help

Thanks.
