Stereo Warranty

Having recently encountered the dreaded err3 on my stereo unit - I returned to local Lexus dealer who originally agreed to fund 50% of repair cost, as the stereo's 4 year warranty had just over run by 2 weeks.

Dealer has called back since to announce he will fund full 100% of repair cost....great news! However want to understand whether this is dealer being very kind or whether the stereo warranty has been extended by Lexus to 5 years. Somebody recently suggested this may be the case on this forum.

If anyone can confirm or hears similar please let us know. Need to know how grateful to be when collecting the repaired unit.

Incorrect guys

Lexus have extended the standard vehicle warranty on the radio unit from 3yrs 60,000 miles to 4yrs 100,000 no more.

I was told by Lexus GB and Lexus Nottingham that the warrantly was extended by a further 1 year only.
