Front N/s Scrapes Noise And Excessive Brake Dust

Recommended Posts

I took my 03 GS430 on an 80 mile motorway journey and approx 60 miles in I noticed the car randomly swerving under braking and then at low speeds I heard a metallic scrape noise.

Looking at the car the n/s front wheel is covered in heavy brake dust, but the other front wheel only has slight brake dust.

I only do approx 6 miles a day under normal conditions and the issue has stopped now.

Has anyone experienced similar or have any ideas of what it might be?

Possibly a sticking caliper which wouldn't be so noticeable on a 6 mile commute. Was the offending wheel excessively hot too? I would certainly be getting it checked as a matter of some urgency.
