Hi all

I have a 2gs430, it's quick but doesn't feel as quick as my old Volvo t5 did, have no idea when it was last serviced its 153k now and the last stamp in book is 129k, will do the usual, oil air filters and oil change, new plugs (what type?) will do a search on that one, any recommendations as to what else might want changing, ( have done the ecu reset).. Any thoughts ... Perhaps it does it so smoothly I just don't notice lol

Cheers terry

Hi Terry

Difficult to know if there is anything wrong. I would be nice if you could drive another one to compare. Whist driving If you put the gearbox into 2nd and with about 3,000 revs at a constant speed, floor the throttle how does that feel? The gearbox isn't exactly quick so by holding it in gear you should experience the power of the V8. I've not driven a T5 so cannot make a comparison.

Plugs - use Denso, either the stock ones listed in the manual or IK20 power iridiums.

Worth checking the front brake callipers are free to slide, sometimes the sliding pin seizes which means the pads don't come away from the discs fully.

Won't affect performance but the cam belt should have been changed at 100k miles. Worth checking that has been done.
