My Tte Charger Has Developed A Slight Rattle Help!

Recommended Posts

I think my supercharger has devoleped a rattle, im sure it is noisier than it used to be, only noticed it today and will keep an eye on it,just wondering if you guys have any idea to what could be the cause. It seems to be coming form the rear of the charger, (from the end the filter is attached) Are they easy to take apart and refurb as I would like to sort this out before it gets worse. :(

it's an eaton compressor that is used on the merc slk .... so widely available from any scrapyard or eBay ;) I would get myself a spare, swap it for the noisy one then open that one up to see what's going on... you might be able to get some parts for it just check out the eaton website ;)

You can buy service kits for them have a look around on eBay, there seems to be more choice from the US site.

For example ( and the description even mentions a rattle)
