Hi this is my 1st post so here goes. I am looking into getting some alloys which are wider i, I have read throught posts on here and found them helpful but still arnt to sure. The alloys I want are 18" 8.5j et45 with 225/35 18 tyres. Im just unsure how much they will stick out near the front arch and want to lower it by 35mm aswell so dont know if it will rub. Has anyone got this setup or know if it will work. Here are the wheels http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180915921267?redirect=mobile

Any help will be much appreciated many thanks in advance, Jason :)

Hi Jason,I just fitted some225/40 18 to my is200 sportcross. They are 7.5j and looking at the wheels you are thinking of buying it looks like the spokes are concave (running inward) as are mine. The only problem I can tell you is that with my set up the wheel spokes are almost in contact with the brake calipers, there is no more than 2mm clearance,so I would certainly clarify fitment before purchase.

Try putting the size into one of the sites that sell alloys,or phone them up with the size.I think 8.5j is quite wide and will stick out from the arches. But I am no expert,so perhaps someone ''in the know''may well reply soon, probably to rip apart my post lol.

Best of luck m8....
