Gs 450H Dvd Hack Wire Colours

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Got myself a May 2006 gs 450h last week, and must say WOW. Love it.

I have fitted a grom usb2 for mp3's and Iphone, works great after updating firmware.

And very easy to nav unit out and install.

I have bought a cheap 08-09 DVD nav upgrade off eBay so should get control of nav while moving.

However here's the but..

I was going to do the bypass so I can get folders/files and phone etc. on the move.

BUT the wire colours are different the block with purple nearest passenger side is spot on as per all the pics

I've seen. Yet the block nearest driver has different colour wires to all the pics I've seen.

So not sure wether to cut the green wire that corresponds to the correct pin or the pink wire that's on different ping ? And why do I have different wires?

10 minute job and it's driving me nuts. Not sure whether to do trial and error incase I blow something.
