Update To 19" Or 20" Wheels

Recommended Posts

Would these be ok with 235/35/19 all round?

The IS 250 has a staggered set-up...they're wider on the rear. I had 19" rims on mine, 19x8.5 on the front and 19x9.5 on the rear. Offsets on those needed to be Front:+38.(offset extends +13mm to standard/+1mm inner gap) and Rear:+42.(offset extends +42mm to standard/-16mm inner gap).

Tyre options for those rims were:

Tyre Size Front: 225/35/19 or 235/35/19

Tyre Size Rear: 275/30/19 or 285/30/19

I had the wider options on mine and there was no rubbing at all with that set up.

I am looking to upgrade to 19 too. I think it's a good idea to find out what weight the 17" rims are and see if we can get something of a similar weight or lighter. When I upgraded the wheels on my previous vehicle the aftermarket wheels were considerably heavier, so much that there was an obvious lag in acceleration.
