7M Gte Mk 3 Supra Engine

1JZ-GTE or 2JZ-GTE supra engines are best . the IS200's gear box cannot take the torque those engines chuck out. so if you want a manaul then V160 Toyota/Getrag gearbox or W55,W58 manual depending on what power you looking for or A650E automatic box which is already in the IS300 handles 400bhp with a transmission cooler and valve body upgrade. most guys in US are also fitting the V8 GS430 engines into the IS chasis. drop in that V8 engine and thats cheap, easy, reliable 300-310bhp on tap with A650E gearbox but thats not saying both 1JZ and 2JZ's are not reliable. worth asking the guys on the US forumns as they play around with Turbo/V8 swaps than us in UK.

isnt the 7m gte a 1jz engine ?? or is it completely seperate as i already have an old mk3 supra thats beeing striped for bits and before i sell the engine i wanted to know if it fitted if, so i would just go and do it, does the engines bolt up to the 6 speed box? wether or no it takes the power or not doesnt matter at the moment. does the v8 have a manual box that fits that as i really dont like auto's but i do love v8's
