Keyless Entry

Hi guys, just had my 220d se for a week and love the experience already, however this morning i was clearing snow from around the car when i noticed the lights coming on on the wing mirror( i had the key fob in my pocket) when i had finished clearing the snow i got in the car ok( it was unlocked) and whent to the shops. When i got out of the car and tried to lock it by touching the handle nothing happened so i locked it using the fob, same when it came to unlocking then the car wouldn't start, i had to touch the start/stop with the fob, the car then started. I have to lock the car with the fob now, any help wouldbe appreciated, thanks

As fob works via trasmitting/radio signals you may have a few problems if your in an area where there is heavy signal...i.e mobile signal mass, digital doorbells etc..nothing you can do but just use the key to close/open door and use fob as near as possible to stop/start button to turn on

Thanks lex28 for the reply. Just had to nip out and the keyless entry worked. Don't know what to put it down to but it works now.

Mine sometimes indicates that the fob is not detected when its behind my Iphone!

Try new batteries in the keys if persists.

If I put my key in the same pocket as my Iphone and try to open the car it does not too
