I don't know if the '97 wiring will fit a '98 (it tilts when you engage reverse gear on my car) but-I need a mirror, preferably black, but if it works, I'll just spray it!

As Bluesman says: if the Scrappy guys won't take it off, its a reasonably easy job of removal, so yes, I'd have it, thanks.

Some one will confirm I'm sure, but I didn't think the mirror tilts on the MK3

I think I'll pass on the mirror, I've since found out the electrics vary on both models, and I'm wary about fooling around with them, -back to the drawing-board, thanks again for going to the trouble of offering to get me one, its appreciated.

No problem, I think I'll take it off anyway in case mine ever gets vandalised.
