Gs300 06 Lhs Wing Mirror Glass

Did a quick search through the forum and couldn't find a conclusive answer to this one ...

Passenger side wing mirror glass has cracked - everything else fine. Lexus are quoting silly money for replacement, and I can't find an alternative (checked wingmirrormarket and wingmirrorman and others they either don't do Lexus or stop at the 05 model, same on eBay). Am I missing something? Surely someone produces a mirror that will fit? Not massively bothered about it being photo chromatic.

If anyone knows of anywhere, I'd really appreciate any pointers,

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

This problem with replacement mirror glass sems to affect the whole Lexus model ramge,you can get the ill fitting stick over types but not an aftermarket one that will fit perfectly in the back plate and has the OEM features like being heated and photochromatic.

Could be due to low volume of Lexus models making it unviable to produce any.

Dealers are brilliant when they try to sell you a complete mirror for several hundred pounds!

Best to keep an eye out for anyone breaking one, it took me a while to find one for my last GS

Cheers guys - I put a request out through 247spares and got a call from somewhere who said they had one. When I rang back, they said 'we don't do Lexus, it must have been a mistake'. I swear, it's some kind of conspiracy!

I'll keep looking, just can't bring myself to pay dealer prices,

Not sure what model but Charles Trent in Bournemouth did have a GS last week

There are a couple on eBay as well.

I have a brand new complete drivers side wing mirror form Mk1 GS if anyone wants one

Just to update, found a used mirror on eBay, £20, arrived two days later and fitted in 10 minutes!

Very happy, and well worth waiting for something to come up on eBay.

One thing to mention - it was advertised as a GS450 mirror and I'd been searching originally for GS300. Not all sellers will include all the models that their part fits, so it's worth bearing in mind if you find yourself in a similar situation.
