Upgrade Of 2003 Sat Nav

I have an original sat nav fitted to a 2003 ls 430. I would like to upgrade to a modern version. What is the best way of doing this and how much will it cost. Also is it possible to upgrade it to a version that works on post codes whcih is so much easier?

you can upgrade,go to Lexus mapupdates,and if you input your current disc(s),it will give you the part number for the latest updates,no you can't get one that does postcodes sadly

I still have the original map that came with my 53 Ls430, never needed to update it so haven't bothered.

As scudney states, no postcode search i'm afraid, shame Lexus don't do this, would make it spot on combined with the current setup.

You will need to look at your current disc for the number printed on the front, it's fairly easy to get to in the boot right side, just be careful you don't lose the 2 bolts holding the disc unit in place, they are a pig to get back out.

Think it was about £120 but i'm sure that others here can put a more exact figure on it.
