Only one that's definately ok is the type iv from toyota/lexus dealers.Expensive but cheaper than a new gearbox due to wrong fluid. I paid £50 for 5ltrs from local toyota dealer.

Didnt know you could get it, read somewhere they stopped selling it. Ill be sure to stop by £50 isnt too bad for 5L in my mind. thanks for the info :)

Toyota/ Lexus don't sell their oil anymore. At least not in smaller quantities. That was the response I got when I last asked the question.

I use Comma ASW ATF oil. It runs perfect in mine. Readily available, and not too expensive. And it's Toyota T-IV standard.

I am sure I heard that land rover sell atf oil which is Toyota/lexus equivalent & at cheaper price too.

i am using semi synthetic dexron 3 comma atf oil in mine..

there are many brands out there of oils. just make sure you get the right spec oil that meets the requirements.
