Dvd / Cd Player Not Working

My LS460 (2007) DVD player stopped working and said no disc when disc was in. Wont load or eject discs.

It started again later for a few days and now gone again. Radio and all other systems work fine.

Any similar problems and solution?

You could try putting a cleaner disc through it, this would clean the laser which doesn't seem to be recognising the disc, failing that I would suggest it needs to be overhauled/serviced by a tv/dvd repairman, good luck

Hi Mike, I found a decent bloke in North London who only services and repairs car audio systems, repaired my Mercedes command unit in one day at reasonable price, I did notice the Lexus logo up in his workshop but he was not keen to remove the unit. If the LS is like my GS450 450 it is very easy to remove and refit audio/navigation unit( no security code). Just ask if you need his details.

Thanks for info.

Cant get discs out or in so cant use a cleaner.

Have had a comment that locating fuse, isolating and doing a restart may help?

Think I will try to find a DVD repair shop and let them investigate?
