TRD 328,

I've seen that you've fitted this to your car. I bought it because I was told it is the only 'plug and play' device that can remove the speed limiter on the IS200s.

Can you let me know how easy it was to go in and where you got it done? Thnx.

If you have an IS200 it's not that easy as a plug'n'play item. The instructions given in the APex'i booklet is wrong. Im still waiting for a mechanic to answer me on the question of where does the speed sensor plugs into.. but somehow he seems to have dissapeared.

I got mine done in Melbourne, so if you are in teh UK im not sure where you should go.

These are a great gadget and looks good a night :D

I'm in Melbourne right now so please let me know where you got it done and the cost of installation. I looked up the instructions and the GXE10 model is listed so I assumed there must be some kind of harness or something else. I guess they'll have to tap into the ECU in the engine bay.

Usually the speed sensor comes off the ABS I think, but with the GXE 10 ECU having around 14 auxilliary inputs, I really don't know.

I have a UK spec IS200, got an RSM from takakaira in Japan. The instruction manual for my car was correct, installed it myself without any problems.

Not sure if maybe the car spec is different but I can send you a picture of what goes where or something if you're interested.

Tim,

I'm not sure of places where you are that you can get one but I got mine mail order from TakaKaira in Japan, took about 5 days from order time until delivery.

You can find them at:

http://www.takakaira.com/

Or the specific product at:

http://www.takakaira.com/php/table.php3?id=309&cat=2

More information from the product web-site:

TRD328,

When you had your RSM installed, was it the manual from the ApexI site that was wrong or did you use the japanese version of the manual?
