Havent Got My Rx300 Yet

I have paid in full for my RX 300 and was promised it to be delivered on the 1st September by Mr. Grant Jones the salesman from Lexus. Mr. Jones is superb and if I was in the car trade I would most definately employ him. The falt lies with Lexus Poole. I have been told by Mr. Jones (Grant) THAT ALL THE NEW CARS ARE AT THE MOMENT HELD UP AT THE DOCKS. I have telephoned 7 Lexus showrooms and have been told that they have no cars waiting at the docks. I do not believe that this is true but why are they telling me this? I have not yet recieved my new car and I believe that I am being told lies. Mr Grant Jones of Lexus has assured me that I will recieve full car mats, FRONT,REAR,and BOOT, and the string thing that they sell to stop things falling out of the boot. He also said that I would recieve a full tank of fuel. (When you buy a car costing just under £35,000) dont you get a full tank!! I hope I get my car tomorrow, I will keep you all posted.

Sorry if this is not a helpful comment but why did you pay in full before delivery of your car?

In house purchases, if funds are delayed then the normal rate of interest is 5% over base per day untill the house is settled. Worked out on £35,000 = £8.15 per day. I would ask for this on top of your mats etc.

If it's stuck in the docks you ain't gonna get it tomorrow. It's got to put on a transporter, delivered to Poole, protective coat removed, cleaned and valeted, PDi'd and fix anything they found. Also they have to wait for the V55 so they can register it and plate it.

I would call Lexus Customer Services - 0845 278 8888 and see if they can tell you what is going on.
