Is200 Oil Filter Change.... Easy!

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd post a small rant,

I read many posts saying that it was really hard to change the is200 oil filter....

I've had mine 6 months and it's due it's service, and by chance so is my friends.

I have changed both this week very easily with no problems!

Every1 moaned about access ect, but as long as you removed the plastic splash guard I can't see what the problem is?? It was just as easy as any other car, and using a certain type of filter spanner....

Not needed really, just wear latex gloves for grip and out they come.

Mini rant over lol ;)

The LS400 also has an engine undercover and I find it takes more time to remove this than actually remove the oil and filter.

I've also heard that some garages don't fully remove the engine cover they remove some of the fixing bolts and then bend it out of the way.
