Another Satnav Moan

Series 5 head unit 2011-12 Ver 1 DVD:

First time I've found a POI to be in the wrong place. If you look on Google maps for Hotel Ataliai, Irun Spain, you will see its off the motorway slip road, up to a roundabout, hang a U and its there on the right. The satnav had it miles away. I always check the run in to places I have not been before on Google Street view so knew to ignore the satnav.

Try this:

Input the Lat and Long of your house into the navigate by co-ordinates section. Mine is shown as being in the North Sea. There's something wrong here. I don't know if its me or the satnav. I am sure I've entered the correct co-ordinates.

Tried it on my 53reg Ls430, original nav disc.

I got my data for the latitude and longditude from here http://mygeoposition.com/

Put your address in and fire away.

As i said, i tried it and it was nearly bang on according to the webpage i got the data from. Even had the elevation, not sure how to check this though, yet.

Same result using that website, middle of the North Sea. I seem to be on the correct latitude but 2 deg East of the Grenwich meridian. I should be 2 deg West.
