Sat Nav Questions

All,

I have a 2014 CT200h F-Sport, and I have been trying to get the email notifications from my Iphone coming through to the sat-nav

Texts always work fine, and last week I was on a trip back from Scotland, and had the Iphone connected via USB with the music screen showing and any emails that came through I got a pop up notification for, and I was able to read the emails

This has since stopped working, and I cannot work out what has changed, any ideas ?

Also......I get speed camera warning beeps when the sat nav has the voice control turned up, however if the voice control is turned off, then I dont get the beep warnings. Is this normal, as I dont always want the voice control activated on every set journey that I do

Would be interested in this too. I gave a 2o14 premier and Iphone and have never seen texts or emails on the ct though I do normally connect Bluetooth

Bluetooth seems to work fine for me with texts, but I was surprised when emails started to come through, but I cant replicate it, which is damn annoying, I think it something to do with where the Iphone is plugged in

I have my message settings to push both texts and emails

I use my Iphone via Bluetooth rather than USB so I am unsure if its the same.

However there is an option on the Phone, under Bluetooth. Choose the 'i' next to you car and ensure that Show Notifications are switched on?

This sorts it for me.

Trying to understand this - are you saying that you were reading your emails while you were driving your car?

Yes emails were coming through as I was driving and I could read or ignore them the same as txt notifications

Yesterday I got my first text that appeared on the sat nav screen and it was read to me - so I'm not changing any more settings - it works - I also got a message from the car on the little multi display to the right of the speedo - washer fluid low - thank you CT!!

I also used the leather wipes that came with the supagard kit - whoops - I nearly slid off into the footwell and the steering wheel was not much better. Should come with a warning

Not had them read to me! Thats neat! Assume you have the Premium Nav and not standard Nav then :-)
