Mmmmmmm...........what Do You Think?

Took the RX down to my local Lexus dealer on spec last week for a quick look over and good enough the Lexus technician drove the car foe 10 minutes to check that the air suspension was working as it should- and it is (did this as the 12 months warranty is due to expire early December).

Anyway to the point.Without naming the dealership they have 3 different franchises next to each other(Huyundai,Toyota and Lexus). As I missed the turning into the Lexus dealership I pulled in to the Toyota garage and turned round in their car park to see a Lexus IS up on their ramps being worked on. Parking in the side street then walked around the back of the Lexus garage to see another IS on ramps being worked on.

Now it could well be that a Lexus technician was servicing the IS in the Toyota garage-I don't know.

But it does make you think-or does it?

That's quite normal. The dealer will have one garage serving the whole site. Each dealer will have Lexus trained technicians.

Lexus Chester has no workshop as such , you drop your car off st the dealers door and it's wizzed around the back into the skoda/mazda/Lexus shared workshop .

It's the same as Lexus Stockport. Shared with Mazda & Suzuki.

A lot of Toyota and Lexus dealers share the same workshop facilities. In theory the mechanics should have gone through the specific Lexus vehicle training before working on a vehicle. Lexus GB is just a marketing department within Toyota GB.
