Injector Problems

My 220d has just started to hesitate a bit and struggle to maintain constant low speed,ie 30mph in 3rd or 4th ect.

Ive serviced it regularly, new recent fuel filter, clean EGR, shell vpower diesel ,BG244 thro it every 5k and i use archoil6200.The MAF meter has been cleaned and the DPF shouldnt be blocked as its getting a motorway blast twice weekly.

Im assuming its leaking injectors or seals?? Has anybody else had innjector problems that gave the same issues?

Thanks steve

I recall Carl having some issues when he had a 220d.

Try removing that big centre engine cover...it pops off quite readily.

Have a look around the injectors ....any visible carbon splatters? Of course if its 'tother end you won't see anything but at least you'll know the seatings are fine.

I'd get it stuck on a diagnostics machine, most indies should have equipment that would read values.

Could be a batch of bad diesel, you never know how it's stored. Did you use a genuine fuel filter? Probably not that but you never know.
