Is220d Issues Logged With Lexus Gb Technical

Hi everyone!

I have owned a couple of Lexi over the years and am currently looking at getting a new IS220d Sport when its released.

I am, however, concerned about some of the issues raised on here (I've been a reader for ages) notibly the poor fuel economy and sixth gear only being available from an indicated 75mph.

I have therefore spoken to someone from Lexus GB Technical, and logged my concerns from a potential customer. For the record, they were unaware of any issues!

So I suggest if enough people speak to them they may become aware...

As you say, some members have complained about fuel economy and others have have noted that their fuel consumption has improved over time. Like anything new, I guess it just need to losen up a bit and bed in.

Yeah maybe, but I've owned diesels from new before and they haven't loosened up that much, maybe 5%, 10% max...But some of the figures on here have been scary :o
