  1. I drive my wife's Tigra @ weekends and when I hop in the IS am always surprised by how light it is in comparison. Goes a bit better too ;)
  2. My sticker is in place ! Will now seek to get rid of my 2 flyers ! Musy buy something to use my discount !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. MPG on my IS 200 is amazing on a motorway trip. I try to keep her at 4000 rpm and it seems to go on forever on a tankful no complaints....... However in town (London) I reckon 22 mpg tops . The traffic is so bad I've taken to driving in the manner of a retired bank manager in his Rover 110 on a sunday afternoons but still its pooooooor. I blame the stupidly low 1st gear....Tis the cars only weak spot IMHO
  4. If it ain't broke why fix it ???:smilegrin::smilegrin:
  5. 10 days in Jamaica all inclusive........leave Sunday 5pm...........;) To say I'm keen to go is an understatement !
  6. Have you ever seen a dog step in dog pooh ?????????;):smug::P
  7. I was driving down the M11 in my wifes Tigra at 95ish(officer) in convoy with 4/5 others spotted silver B*W coming FAST thought well so what its only two lanes and we're doing OK. On came his main beam and the fatherless mother flashed me.. so close could just see his shades..... dabbed my brakes and raised the middle digit.........dropped right off.........after a while I pulled over let him go by (still proceeding at a respectable rate....) was ready to give him the look but he was looking straight ahead.......watched him continue in the convoy.......... Must be the badge..........
  8. I agreeee ! coming home y/day a middle aged t*ss*r in a knackerd rover 214 thing was cutting in and out of the traffic how he missed any one I do not know...... Bet he was'nt insured........ the other thing is the prats who use bus lanes when they should'nt and when they merge nearly hit u........ aaaaaaaaahhhhhh London........
  9. I was going to work y/day trundling round the south circular minding my own business. Going through Forest Hill I was behind a Audi A4 estate on our right was a Belgian artic , came to a bit where the lane we were in can go straight on or merge with the right hand lane (where the artic was) this is not a problem....Mr Audi outs his foot downtries to beat the lorry turning right and clips the artic front bumper with his drivers side rear. B*ll** I thought will be here for ages now. NO Mr Audi doesnt even stop !!!!!!!!! goes like hell up the road ! Caught up with him at the next lights and the rear 3/4 of the car (estate) was all dented thought to tell him to stop and exchange details with the driver of the artic. this thought lasted a nano second when he looked across to me........gorilla or what !!! Just another example of driving in our capital !
  10. Will speak to she who must be obeyed.............am hopeful !
  11. I have the pleasure of driving in London every day.........I find a good tactic is to look really ****** off people leave u well alone !!!!!!! works when walking as well........particulary in Brixton !!!!!
  12. if i burn a cd on windoze me it wont work on windoze xp
  13. I'll get that extra 10 litres uswed next week ! Average speed.......as ever i didnt make myself clear (over 40) my house to peterborough was 109 miles left 6.20 got there 8.10..........thats not bad as I have to get through the dartford tunnel 16 miles on M25 then M11 roadworks (am boring and obey those speed limits !) Rest of trip I was fairly sensible...........I try to get between 2 cars travelling quickly.........logic being the one behind will get caught by a following police car..............however these whizzy cameras they are installing will screw that cunning plan up:(
  14. Whats the furthest you've gone on a tankful ? I did 427 miles this week...... going from my hoose nr Woolwich,London to Peterborough & back 2 days running.......did the trip in 2 hours each time as well (miracle) so was'nt hanging aboot........ Next task is the fewest.......:regan:
  15. I've got Big Country - Buffalo Skinners Raphaels - Supernatural MTV - new unplugged Oasis - Definately maybe Skids - Days in europa U2 - Under a blood red sky I am oooooooooooold !
  16. This is the wierd thing ! I'm still scratching my head....... 99% sure its linked to the RAC bod taking the wiper fuse out.........then switching the wipers on and they still worked......either that or he was Paul daniels............
  17. Dont mean to be funny.........but........what i said was true.........pull it towrds u and i got water and wipes..........then no water but wipes..........fuse change and fiddle around.........flick wipe..........water from end........ ---------------------------------------------------- On the comment about being in the american site.......How many of my fellow Lexus owners have built their own car ? Not too many methinks.....I have GinettaG27 V8 in 7 months --------------------------------------------------- slightly miffed........
  18. Saw T200 LEX on a IS200 today in Erith Kent..........jammy git !!!!!!!!!!:)
  19. Took my boss to Ripley in derbyshire and back to Woolwich London today. Was most impressed with the IS200......couldnt believe how quiet it was as three figures.......reckoned it was streets better than a 3 series........mumbled something about the ride quality and standard goodies being better than his 2000 523i :tumble::saint:
  20. well........didnt need the washers after all........anyone else on the M1...M11 todays london/derby way..........amazing rain !!!! Mine an Aug 99 so that may be the problem........... However.........how much is a butler ?
  21. All I can say is I'm not a muppet ! Prior to y/day pulling the wiper stalk towards me generated water and several wipes of the screen........What I didnt mention was that the RAC man took out the wiper fuse and they still worked.......twas when he replaced it with a puzzled look on his face that the wipers reverted to "normal" Wonder if the previous owner had some extras fitted.......no evidence of it tho.....
