  1. Its a fail then. Check with another centre but im sure this is right.
  2. I believe that anything in the wiper sweep is an MOT failure. Does the wiper blade pass over the sun visor?
  3. Autosound quoted me £45 +vat to replace the FM tuner (thats whats wrong with yours) but that was an additional to repairing an error 3 fault. Give them a call.
  4. Are the tracking settings in the knowledge base correct for the IS200, going to have my alignment done soon.
  5. I did it by jacking the front of the car so it is just off the floor and then using a bar under the front wheel (coming in from the side) lift the wheel, you will then be able to feel if there is any wear.
  6. Ive found that if you drive car up ramps with it running it will bleed of.
  7. Correct you need new speakers, remove amp and a face plate.
  8. Try Holiday Inn Kings Cross, lovely hotel, if you book online on their website you will get the best price.
  9. I bought a high mileage car about 6 weeks ago. Car drives like new (except new ball joins required) I am really pleased with it. Its like evrything, if you look after it, will look after you!
  10. Even came up with a road that I had used recently - got me worried
  11. Always found OEM stuff to be good. If you don't need the extra performance then the OEM stuff was designed to cope with the factory std car.
  12. Thanks guys, I will get the joints done, new tyres and the geometry reset and let you know how I get on.
  13. I have just checked my ball joints and I have some up and down movement in both joints, the near side is the worst. I have also noticed that on the near side the wheel has been catching the lower suspension arm on full left lock as it has polished it. Is this also related to the ball joints being worn?
  14. Just had MOT too, will get them checked. Has anyone fitted the ball joints themselves? Any tips or pointers would be apreciated.
  15. Just noticed today that the inside edges of my front tyres are scrubbed. Can anyone recommend anywhere in Lincs to get the alignment done as Ive read this can be a pain to get sorted (properly).
  16. Has anyone got one of these fitted to an IS or have seen one fitted. Wondered if it was a worthwhile purchase.
  17. I take it a manifold replacement is needed to do this then. Its not just a case of removing the cats? What sort of increase can be expected?
  18. If it was the pot tension ometer it would drive like a bag of **** all the time and either drink petrol or run really lean. This fault used to affect the red top 16v. Im sure it will be the idle air valve (idle speed controller).
  19. Clean out the valve with carb cleaner. Dont rush it let it soak in for a few hours. Then repeat and do a final flush through. Like whiteman says it will probably be knackered and cleaning wont cure it but its worth a try.
  20. I have a 1999 SE with the front spats fitted.
  21. The recall was in 2000. All cars 1999 and early 2000 are covered I think. I have just looked at my mats and I have only 1 hole in the carpet but 2 in the mats. I am still waiting for my clips but will let you know whap happens.
  22. Phoned Lexus and they told me my car already has had the recall. I explained I dont have any clips on my mats and the nice guy from Lexus Notts is going to post me some FOC.
  23. Happened to me too. I dont have the clips on my mats though. Can you buy the clips seperate and does the recall affect all IS200 or just a certain age, Mine is a 1999?
