I can consistantly get 30mpg but thats all you can expect. Drive hard I suppose 22-25.

Only checked my mpg twice. First time got 27.9 and second got 30.1. Not too bad, used to have a Calibra Turbo and always got less than 20, worst was about 12!

Are all the Apexi SAFC II units the same, ie make/model specific? How easy are they to fit?

My insurance company wanted £1000 more for an RS200 over a IS200 Sport. Its cheaper for me to have a supercharged IS200.

I am just trying to guage the number of owners (mainly 1999 or 2000 years IS200) who have had trouble with their factory fit CD player, whether replaced under warranty or not. The reason behind this is my poor response from Lexus regarding my ERROR3 fault.

Hi I have no illumination on my lighter socket. Had a quick look and I dont think there is a bulb holder. Is this avialable seperately?

Hi I have only had my IS a couple of weeks now and apart from the err3 and a gearbox that needs lots of love and care my car is running great. This morning it was quite cold and although the car turned over ok it was very slow to fire up. When started from warm it starts quickly. Any ideas?

I too had the error3 fault and my cd player is also out of warranty. I wrote to Lexus with a small hope of them replacing it. They replied today with a big NO. Apparently the reason for the error3 fault is a disk jam, caused by "incorrect loading of CDs, or loading CDs of poor quality such as copied ones" They also tell me that "Correct opperation of the unit is clearly detailed in the owner`s manual including a notice warning of the consequence of incorrect opperation". So basicaly according to Lexus GB, all owners of an IS200 do not know how to operate their CD players correcly, and there is no common fault associated with the device. They have however made some minor modifications to the unit. Thanks Lexus for such a fantastic car, shame about the audio system!

The headlight beam needs setting up correctly as the reflectors are not designed for HID. You just need to go to an MOT testing garage and ask them to set up your headlights. It shouldn`t cost alot will only take about 10 mins. It is against the law to fit a HID kit to your car if your electric height adjustment is broken or not present.

Forgot to mention that you get a 1 year warranty with the repair. They can also fit a new FM tuner for about £45 + VAT.

Dont know if this problem is similar but on the Vauxhall V6`s a faulty spark plug or lead would blow the coil pack. As the coil pack is on the lead (correct me if I am wrong) I should try some plugs. Just a thought.

The aerial connection is fine in the back of the unit. I dont understand what could have happened. Turned it off one night and the next morning no reception.

The aerial is fine on the roof, I will take the unit out and check the connections.
