    loosen the nut in the middle of the adjuster pulley then adjust the belt then tighten the nut up also you will find it easier to remove the air intake at the front

    Hi make sure the fans have been reconnected as the fans have to be removed to replace the cam belt also check the water level in the radiator

    Hi as chris said change the lot at that mileage if you don't do the water pump at least do the idler and tensioner as I have seen two is200 come in the workshop where the idler and tensioner have not been replaced and the belt had worn down to 10 mm wide and both owners said the belt had not long been replaced

    Hi don't forget to clean the rust between the dust seal and the oil seal as the rust here can make the piston stick

    Hi the best way to check it is to take it to a garage and let them check it with a mechanical gauge my auto also makes a noise in first gear and it's only done 75000 miles I change my gearbox oil every 30000 miles

    hi i agree with chris check the pre cats we had a merc 320 come in when we code read it come up with misfire 1 3 5 and we found the cat broken on one side and blocking the exhaust but this does not explain the fuel tank fixing the problem

    No dip stick for manual it's a level plug on side of gearbox

    hi it may be cheaper to put a second hand engine in rather than strip the engine down

    Hi just wash the oil of and take for a test drive but it don't look to bad

    Hi it will need replacing at 145000 also what date was it replaced because I think it's a 6 year time replacement I would have the belt checked because a lot of people just change the belt and not the idler and the tensioner and this can make the belt run at a slight angle and the belt will wear out quicker

    Hi sometimes a new water pump can leak until it settles down clean off the spots and check water level if the spots come back then it needs a new pump

    Hi I would say that the water pump has had a slight leak was the new pump genuine or after market
