  1. Seems reasonable I think. They are generally bullet proof cars anyway. Does it have a full documented service history?
  2. Hi and welcome the club. The IS200 alloys are notorious for corrosion. They pitt really badly and Lexus started replacing them under warrenty with fully laquered ones. For £200, you may as well get them done as long as they can asusre you the finish and quality will be top grade.
  3. I like 3 too..... :) Looking at the voting - 2 and 4 are out. That leaves 1, 3 and 5. Must say - I think its out of 3 and 5 myself...
  4. Welcome to the club. The Supercharged option can be applied to any Lexus IS200 be it an S, SE or Sport. It is made by TTE (Toyota Team Europe) specifically for the IS200 and adds around 50 horses. A good mod, turning the sedate IS200 into the car it always should have been. The Tezza comes in 2 forms. The AS200, which is the same as the IS200 (6 cylinder, 153bhp) and the RS200 (4 cylinder, 210bhp - 200bhp for the auto). The imports do come with a lower spec (no leather or heated seats, less sound proofing, sat nav that won't work for example) but nothing that can't be sorted. If you want tuning options and power out of the box, think about the Altezza. It needs to be revved harder, and insurance may be higher, but it's a good option. On the other hand, an IS200 is a UK car, may come warrantied, etc. Horses for courses. Let us know if you need any more help...

    Excellent stuff! Any pics? :)
  6. I have the same interesting thing on my Snooper S4R. The speedo in the car says 70mph, but the unit says 66mph. I was going to bring this up sooner or later, but now that you've mentioned, does anyone have any ideas? I thought i heard somewhere that the speedo in the car is 7% out...?? ← All speedos are approximately 5% out. The GPS speed will be accurate over your speedo. Manufacturers have to do this to cover there backs from a legal perspective.
  7. I have mate yes - nothing thats really caught my eye...
  8. Doesn't Zee work in the money pit ← I do mate yes - shame its not my money! :D
  9. Doesn't Zee work in the money pit ← Very nice indeed cant decide myself which ones are your old rims Zee last time i saw your car they where the carbon fibre ones ????? will you be selling what you've got at the moment ?????? ← Carbon Fibre ones yes. Not sure if I'll sell or use them for track wheels. Will see... :)
  10. Around 2k excluding tyres for a set of these...
  11. I agree with you Am that number 1 is bottom of the heap at the moment. BTW - Number 3 aren't on Mats - he has the TE37 not LE37 (they join the outer edge of the rim slightly differently). Nice link - thanks. :)
  12. The one with the blow out has been checked and it's fine thank goodness. I'll either keep them for track rims or sell them.
  13. So - for 2006, I want a new set of wheels. I will be going for 18's with the centres in gunmetal grey but need your help in deciding which one of the following 5 Volk/Rays lightweight rims to go for. Alloy 1 - Volk Racing GT-7: Alloy 2 - Volk Racing GT-P: Alloy 3 - Volk Racing LE37: Alloy 4 - Volk Racing Progressiv: Alloy 5 - Volk Racing Progressiv TE: Help me choose by voting above!

    Avon Tyres

I have run Avon ZZ-1s before. More road noise than other brands but wear was very good (It's a harder compound). Grip was fine in the dry - not the best in the wet, but not the worst either.
