  1. Have a look at Rod Millen on:- http://www.rodmillenstore.com/gs_300/price_aero.htm
  2. Hi - and welcome!! I should think there's a pretty long list - bits are hard to come by here in the UK. For starters: Exhaust systems and parts Grills and body parts etc HID conversions SatNav software
  3. Hi Pete - and welcome to the Club. Our member Shrek1 has a MK1 sport - he may be able to offer you some tips. There's a good search page on the Lexus UK website for used cars - might be worth a visit - http://www.lexus.co.uk Cheers Rod
  4. Excellent!! My dealer (Coventry) refused to fit non-Toyota pads. Did you review Lexus Exeter???
  5. Squeeking brakes are caused by the pads vibrating at high speed. Many people find that the problem can be reduced by thoroughly flushing the pads with water. You might also find that adding copper grease to the rear of the pads can reduce the noise - but this should be done by a brake specialist. AFAIK, brake seal is NOT a sign of worn pads though. There's been a thead about this before - have a search through the forum listings.
  6. I think maybe free private sales and charged for trade sales??
  7. Sounds like a bad connection inside the door maybe - can you hear the lock trying at all??
  8. Looks brill. Sadly I can't get to the cinema easily cos of the 3 todders in our house. Was Harry Potter on DVD last night - that was great too! (I'm not sure it's possible to be off-topic here is it?)
  9. UV - I meant to ask you - I get some noise off my new slotted/spotted discs even when I'm not braking - it's very faint and I can only hear it reflected from parked cars and wooden fences with the windows open - like a sorta ticking - I'm guessing it's the grooves passing under the pads - does that sound normal to you?
  10. C'mon guys - someone must know summink!!:bounce:
  11. LOL - you're prolly right, although they're shedloads better than the Toyota ones that were on there. With 2 tonnes fo auto, you don't need to use them hard to make dust!!
  12. Still here......:bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce::bounce:
  13. You certainly got that right UV - when I first got mine fitted I nearly jumped outta my skin when I braked!! My main reason for buting the Greenstuff pads was that they don't shed loads of brake dust over my luvvly alloys - definite improvement!
  14. Can anyone recommend a speaker upgrade for my GS300-2 please, and where to get the stuff in the UK? Thanks:bounce:
  15. You might wanna have a look at aftermarket brakes Les. I just put on a set of EBC Greenstuff pads (front and rear) plus a pair of EBC grooved front discs. Total bill was about 330quids. If you add on say 75 for a pair of rear discs - you're talking 400 pounds all done and much better brakes!! The other thing I'd TOTALLY recommend, is take your car for a second opinion - to a decent NON-Lexus dealer - act dumb and see what they say.
  16. Hi Chris - welcome to the Club. I'd like to upgrade the speakers in my GS300-II , what would you recommend?? Cheers
  17. I use a few drops of Isopropyl Achohol on a lint free cloth
  18. Thanks Canter - that was exactly the info I was after, as I AM using the bulbs for HB4. Cheers Rod
  19. Mostly I agree (in fact I've been working on a "Beemer Buster" avatar.) There are (gulp) one or two that I quite like though (sorry) - notably the M5 and the XJR Sport. I think that it's a reflection of our good style and individuality that we don't buy a car simply for the badge, like most beemer owners do.
