  1. ya ;) and give him a big beep as you go past ...
  2. there is an official garmin XT version available to buy .... ;)
  3. nope but one numpty politician suggested that we should change over to LHD like the rest of Europe to accommodate all the foreign drivers and reduce accidents.... fn moron the whole road systemwould have to be adapted for such a change, not just road markings but expensive stuff like motorway off ramps etc... all because of some report that highlighted the no. of accidents involving foreign drivers.... The reason there are so many accidents by foreign (east European) drivers is they've brought their LHD cars over with them and can't friggin see where they're going ( i won't comment on their driving ability as alot of Irish drivers are not any better).... was that in the report???? no that would have involved common sense, all they should do is BAN ALL LHD instead... we're on an Island it's friggin easy to police rant over

    Wheel Nuts...

I think they'll be fine too from what i've read on different sites, the 60 degree tapers are from NON OEM wheels ... thanks Wozza ...
  5. I don't think they would know without going to the time and bother of measuring your geometry but if the car is under warranty then they might be picky if you have any relevant complaints... Probably be a good idea if you combine new tyres with getting the geometry set... when ever that is
  6. Hi all, I've a set of 17" IS250 alloys (thanks Chandru) on their way and need to know if my nuts are the correct ones to suit these alloys... mine are from a 2000 and are flat washer type but i've had a search on the forum and 60 degree tapers were mentioned? Thanks
  7. The stick on sun roof made me chuckle ya ... that was bad alright
  8. only guessing but if your running it very low on fuel regularly then alot of impurities may be blocking the fuel filter and in turn putting the fuel pump under pressure.... happened to my wife's A-Class, ended up having to replace the fuel pump, very expensive it was suction noise when you open a near empty tank is normal AFAIK running it to the last few quid of petrol ain't saving you anything but may cost you alot ;)
  9. can't figure out whats the point and who would want it? eBay Link here... :duh:
  10. Thanks... i was just out with my torch to have a look, i see it now ;) wonder if a small spacer would also work? or would it rub on the outside arch then?
  11. Going on what Tango says the 18" rims clear the lug by virtue of their greater diameter, (they actually go outside & around the lug) The seventeens are smaller diameter and are tight enough to just catch the lug on the inner rim edge. Hope that makes sense :D Wozza..spot on. I only found out when I spun the wheel and could hear the slight rubbing noise. There's very little contact and clearance could be made with a hand file, but I used a junior hacksaw to remove the majority of the lug and smoothed it off with a file afterwards...it was quicker. would you have a pic of this "lug" was it there for a reason? Is this lug on all hubs or just the rears? cheers
  12. my pioneer beeps a few times after turning off to remind me to take off the removable front part for security reasons ... btw ... welcome to the site :)
  13. My mate had a 147 1.6, lovely looking car but after six months of ownership he used to have put in a litre of oil every month :o i had a diesel galant at the same time and it NEVER needed oil between services ..... when he sold it on he got alot less than you'd expect for a 2 year old car..... he won't be buying another one ;)
  14. Looks like i'll have to make them fit as the deals been done ;) pictures next week ... hopefully :)
  15. sorry now i'm a little confused? 17" need something ground down to fit? 18" go straight on?
  16. depends on what kind of driving you've planned.... if it's mostly town/city driving then an Auto is a gift, but if you drive B roads alot or are an aggressive driver then a manual would be a better choice.... imho btw ... welcome to LOC :)
  17. any news regarding your mate and Garmin maps?
  18. great :) thanks for the advice guys ;)
  19. Hi all, do alloys from the newer IS250 go straight on to an IS200/altezza with out any fuss? rears are 245 seems wide? or is it fine my alloys are disgustingly corroded so looking at my options thanks
  20. Have you looked on "pistonheads" in the classified section? Altezzas are Toyotas so are reasonbly bulletproof, but like any car it depends on how well it has been maintained, they need to be regulary serviced so look for proof Auto RS200 (tiptronic, mine) is a great all rounder if you do a lot of daily driving, but if modding is your game a manual has alot more options available... A supercharged IS200 has similar performance and apparently cheaper insurance costs in the UK as the Altezza is an import it's in a higher bracket.... few nice supercharged IS200's for sale on this forum, might be worth a look?
  21. stuck on 16 btw if you want to know what level your on ... click back to menu, click play, then you see all the levels you've played.... the one without a time is the level that your on ;)
  22. Send a pm to Gord, supercharged showcar RS200 in black for 12k ;)
