  1. After concidering selling car, but finally getting thru to hoodlums I think that to bust my stress everyone staying at JAE should wear 70s clothing on saturday night of the meet. I am talking white flares, sideboards, hoofin collars and yes the afro type boufont. be there or be uncool.
  2. Hi all, I kept my cool, spoke to the yobs and for one last time tried a different tactic, told them I was selling car because of risk of football damage, they siad no dont its way too cool, so I explained about them with the ball and they apologised and moved away. Then told them I would get them a crate of beer for being understanding. Thank *** because I dont think I could have sold it, I am also having a second cover especially made with padding on sides and roof. :D see you all at JAE, well it shows that politeness does work. + I am also taking out a special insurance against accidental damage to car.
  3. I try to change just before limiter kicks in, sometimes I take it easy but the dam thing sounds so good that it has to be on the edge.
  4. Hi is anyone going to the stereophonics gig at silverstone next friday. I am doing security for it, may be able to bump into you have a chat.
  5. Food Zee I am guessing that their will be about 30ish staying to eat on saturday night, I will bring some chicken breasts marinated in a special mexican sauce I was taught to make by Huan Pablo the first from a small Texan town inhabited by Demons that lived on BBQ food. And some beer. I will also bring a mean salad selection jsut to help us get our greens and keep reglear.
  6. I have one on my roof, drivers side rear:?: clueless
  7. Hi Vic, the revs dont drop as quickly, old 0-60 was about 6.7 -6.9 New one on a warm night, on a bend. 0-60 = 6.0 secondsit may be a tenth under 6 seconds. The sound is awesome. It has gone back being hairy scary like when I first had compressor fitted. The filter will be improved more soon, custom silicone pipe being made to bring filter into airflow more. Some Very special insulation heat reflection stuff going on pipe and head shiled bieng made that also directs all cold air into filter.
  8. Old 0-60 was 6.5-6.7. With new intake 6.0 possibly 5.97, intake keeps revs higher they do not drop so quickly between gearchange. Silicon pipe being custom made to move filter across slightly. Heat insulation going on intake pipe tomorrow, insulated heat sheild that also directs cold air going in tomorrow. Will post pics when complete.
  9. The intake keeps the supercharger on the boil longer, the revs dont drop so quickly, previous 0-60 in cold was actually 6.7-6.9, tonight in warm weather bang on 6.0 seconds. Aslo mid range seems to be more potent. Made make shift heat sheild also directs more cold air onto filter. Sounds awsome and has improved things:cool:
  10. the old air box has been cut to fit, it also directs cold air down on to manifold, heat wrap is on order and so is heat sheild that will aslo send directed air in to filter. Thermolastic Foil tape,3 layers deep, with thermalastic adhesive tape, will keep it cool, will be on by weekend. Directional airflow head sheild also for front comming very soon. The main point is that the sensor works and No engine management lights come on, ( this seems to be a mojor problem in the states). It will all be completed shortly. The intake for compressor is that close to the manifold and you cant come over the top as it will probably cause problems with the bonnet closing. Cooler than John Travolta wearin shades on planet shade, on King shades national shade day
  11. here we are, filter is rated upto 400bhp, the place in the engine is allways cold to touch, filter 2"from front. Sounds like Mad Max's supercharged car:D:D:D:D:D
  12. this sounds outragious, just have to tidy up wire from sensor, and put engine cover back on.
  13. Having custom intake made tomorrow for supercharger, using 3" stainless pipe leading from front left straight into compressor. Putting a K&N racing filtercharger filter on the front, the position should let in loads more cold air than the front scoop. Hopefully it will make a nice difference to engine response.
  14. used HD cleanse first to remove any wax off of car and any dirt etc, then used Zymol Titanium, you apply it with your hands. Whole process took about 8 hours of hard work.
  15. I will be there about 1400hrs (earlier if I put some methanol in )
  16. "Lexus, open your mind, perfection you will find":tumble:
  17. If money was no object TVR Cebera speed 12, with a revamped electrical system and 19" Chrome wheels Full race spec body kit. Supercharged.( Techno Violet) Lotus Exige Race tuned, 18" Alloys, Fitted with a supercharger. ( Orange )
  18. With all the hype about a new induction, something has recently been pointed out to me, I took car to a specialist to try and have a decat pipe made, ( they cant do it ), to make change for mot easy each year. But I asked about induction, if you put a cone type kit on it sits in front to left of grill and is sucking in warm air, we need something that feeds off the scoop at the front wich is in fact forced induction as the scoop is positioned to take in cold air all the time the faster we go the more it takes in. So we need to keep the intake from the front but have it insulated better and leading to a less restrictive filter with less direction change. any ideas on that?
  19. Hi, TRD/HKS do a performance clutch, however be aware that going to 280bhp will cause problems with gearbox, pistons, Head etc. The most this engine has been taken to in its previous life is about 250bhp I think. Also try TTE, frank Gassen will give you plenty of advice.
  20. worst a 1ltre Metro, was like the flinstones car, put feet thru floor and ran. Best apart from my lexus, Lotus Elise 111s what a hoot, couldn't buy one though as I would not be able to get in it after going to the gym, also had to fall out like you were drunk all the time.
  21. I will never be getting rid of mine, its all payed for and I will add extra performance bits as they are developed. I only do abot 3-4000 miles a year and the car is allways immaculate. I will probably get a professional clearcoat done in 5 years if it needs it and I get the bonnet and skirt resprayed if chipped too much. Basically I love the car its performance and looks. I will keep it looking and driving like new.:D:saint:
  22. Yesterday I had been taking the **** out of my brothers alloy wheels, so we were on the web looking for some new ones for him and my Team Lexus link was open. I had to go and pick my kids up from school, when I came back he seemed a bit sheepish, any way as I was looking through new posts I noticed my name in buy and sell. He started laughing his tits off, so I opened the link, the ***** had put my car up for sale. It made me laugh though:lol: [Edited on 14-6-2002 by Rodders_UK]
