I too love the IS so much I bought another!!!!! I've never bought another car the same as my previous one before now!! Thats how much I like them. Yes, I might have bought a SportCross, but it feels and drives exactly the same as my SE did. BTW my SE is STILL FOR SALE!!!! See my Sig. Right OK Guys. Decided to do a System Restore back a couple a weeks and its now booted up as it did when the guy first started ie. looking for his old companys network. What the best way to get him on our network?? Do I set him up as a brand new user?? Cheers in Advance, I know you'll come up with the goods guys!! :winky: Matt

When you added the laptop to the doamin did it ask you to enter a domain account to add it to the domain. No. Can you logon to it useing the local admin account? I'm not sure? How do I do that!! Are the IP and Subnet addresses set to the same range as your domain? Yes I think so. Can you ping the laptop from another PC? No. It won't log in. And just as a side line, you did Virus check it before you conected it to the domain? Reps have all kings of crap on their laptops! Errrr in a word..... no!! :mat: yeah he keeps telling me how his kids put all kinds of :tsktsk: on it!!

Did there need to be an Admin account already setup?? If not, can I log in as Admin so I can set him up as a new user and start again in theory?? Sorry, I only have basic PC networking knowledge - give me a Mac any day and I'm a happy chappy!!

No, thats what I was trying to do - put him on our Domain. His laptop was still setup for his old firms Domain. But I didn't know XP Pro would lock me out just for changing the Domain name!! Oh it gets better - he never even brought the XP Pro discs away from his old company, so I can't even re-install!! ← you need to speak to your network admin, and get this new guy added as a proper user, and given the appropriate permissions ;) ← We don't have a network admin - they just expect me to know what to do even thought I have no network training of any kind!! Is there anything else I can try?? Is there any sort of Domain reset in the Bios??

LOL!! That is quality!!! I just had a couple of similar emails myself the other day, as my old IS is on Autotrader website at the moment. I've replied to them, stringing them along, as if I'm going ahead with the sale, but nothing like this guy does. I'll have to C&P a few of his ideas!!!

OK Guys, there must be a way out of this - only I don't know it!! A new rep just started at my company and brought his own laptop with him. Its got XP Pro running and was networked to his old companys network. So I goes into Network settings, changed the Domain Name to our office Domain name so he can print to the office printer over the network, then it needs a restart. When it gets to the Login screen, the user name is already there, but his password won't work!! I assume its cos I changed the Domain name?? How can I get it logged back in??? Cheers Matt

:P I am expecting my second child in october. :D I am seriously considering buying an IS200 in the next few weeks, but don't want to move to something too impractical. Bear in mind that I've had an RX-8 and I could take a portable cot, pushchair (Mclaren) and a weeks worth of stuff for myself, baby and wife. All in 290 litres of space. Admitedlly it took some serious packing and we used the spare back seat as well. Can anyone who has two kids tell me how they get along with it? I've seen two postings already. ← Has anyone fitted a thule roofrack or the like , or even a thule back box thingy? Do a search, theres loads on here about it. I remember reading something about removing a fuse, or whackin the centre console or something!!

Did you buy from a Main Dealer?? Very unreasonable if they don't repair or give you a refurb at least. Mine Err 3'd just after the 3 yr warrenty ran out (before they upped it to 5 yrs) but because I didn't buy it from Main Dealer I couldn't do anything about it. So I coughed up £350 to get it fixed, then they changed warrenty to 5 yrs!! Rang Hatfield and they got me a refund :D Hope you get it sorted mate. :winky:

I just changed from an SE to a SportCross for the same reason. We've got a 1 year old daughter and the last year of taking the wheels off the 3-wheeler, turning it endways to slide it in thru the small boot opening has all been a pain in the :tsktsk: !! I loved the IS so much I couldn't get anything else, so a SportCross it had to be!! Had it 3 weeks now and its fantastic. I didn't realise the boot was smaller-I'm still not convinced-but I'll take your word for it. But what makes it worthwhile is the Rear Hatch opening - access is so much better - we don't have to take the wheels off the 3-wheeler now!! :D Go for it fella, get one!! :winky: Cheers Matt

Why do you keep getting points if you have a Road Angel? Isn't it working? ← Yeah it works great!!! Them b :tsktsk: s in the mobile vans keep sneeking up on me!! It detects it alright, its just that I've already been hit. RA went off a couple of weeks ago on the A1 at P'boro, still waiting to find out and still driving around at 20!!

I might be selling my Road Angel 1 soon - if another ticket drops thru the door in a couple of weeks, that'll be me last set of points before a ban!!! So I'm gonna have to drive everywhere at 20mph if it does!! Make me an offer if ya like :winky: I'll renew the subs when its year is up aswell. Matt

Hi The only other difference between the SE and Sport is the Sport is Group 13 insurance and the SE is 12. I think the Platinum Ice is the best looking :winky: Yeah you should defo go for a Plat Ice SE
