Paid £155 all in for mine, included LOC Gold discount!! It seems to vary from dealer to dealer. Positively a bargain - that was at Leicester. Unless the disel is cheaper to service...??? Anyone know? Also, wasn't the new IS supposed to be cheaper to service than the old one? Lots of noise was being made about mineral oils and the like, yet the dealers tend to stick Mobil1 Super Synth in... do u know which mobil1 super synth they put in urs? what was teh grading?

na i leave mine on. so when theres someone on the passenger seat that doesnt usually like putting their seat belt on, i tell em they need to or the car will stop when the buzzin sound gets quicker :D

Neither of you read the TSIB then as it's for the IS250.... Quote : 2006 – 2007 model year IS 250 vehicles equipped with the 4GR-FSE engine and produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown below. etc: It then gives VIN numbers for both the TMK and Tahara IS250 production facilities in Japan...where ALL IS 250's are made. i.e. not just those destined for the US. It's a similar issue I had with the same service manager when I gave him a copy of the TSIB for the brake pads producing excessive dust. In the US the 250 was added to the TSIB which originally only applied to the IS350 so customers complaining of excessive dust could have ceramic pads fitted under warranty (along with new discs if necessary). The Bristol Service Manager said he would look into it...last I heard of it, but my pads are still producing excessive dust. ...and what's happened to the TSIB/recall on the fuel lines??? sorry thought the TSIB was for 350 and you are corect there is one for the 250,have not checked vin number yet but mine is a 2005 although its a dec reg it could fall into this area .you are spot on with the amount of dust generated by the front brakes - why do you think this Lexus TSIBs are not actioned in the UK, because as soon as I mention the brake issue I know Bristol will say its only for the USA.Thanks for info will challange Bristol service on both counts today hen I collect the car , I will also enquire the TSIB regarding the fuel line .I have contacted Lexus uk but have had no responce to date . cheers swager what recall on the fuel line? urs produces too much brake dust too?? just a ?..if all the models are made from the same 2 plants surely they will use the same parts like brake pads n discs for all the cars wont they? so surely they should action to that tsib even tho its not meant for here?? tango..so they didnt change ur pads?

how much brake dust were ur pads producing? did they just change it according to ur word or do some tests? any difference on the performance of the brakes? wonder whether mine produces more than normal. mine has a slight squeak when u brake really slowly n come to a halt. dont know if they would just change that. or say there is nothing wrong with it...

just reading thru the website with the lexus is250/350 tsibs..and saw one about tire pressure sensing transmitter. are these built into all is250's or optional or..?

just a few bits n bobs. think the only thing i changed was the bluetooth sending volume..ppl used to say they couldnt hear me very well. so increased that.

steve any chance u can take a pic of the bluetooth info in ur hidden menu? wanna see if they have changed the software revs?

u shouldn't have to. the sales receipt from the dealer should be enough. i would just ring ur local lexus n register ur details with them

went into the hidden menu sys today..just took a few pics of some screens..anyone know what the "chek" means in the 2nd photo and also the "rev - off" & "tail-off" in the 3rd photo? also anyone else that has a new plate (57) can they compare the 1st photo with theirs? its under the bluetooth/tel? thx

anyone recommend a place for wheel alignment...apart from tony-wim in hempstead..too far for me :) might ask him for the settings tho and get a local place to do it..suggestions? gir a is250 se-l. also thinking of getting the 18"'s that come on the 250 sport..anyone had theirs changed from the se/se-l 17's to the 18's?? does it change the ride alot?
