  3. Not necessarily as you said previous owner lived where it was on poor road surfaces, my front bumper is peppered with stone chips.
  4. Hi and welcome :D The rear lights are correct on your car the early ones were silver,and the paint is very thin on the Lex. Spend a day polishing and im sure the shine will come back and look as good as new.
  5. No problem im coming through that way Tuesday night so i can stay at Toddington srvs and pop in on Wed, but wont be able to deliver them on Wednesday.............When does Mark need them for? I can pick them up no prob its the delivery day that counts :D dont s'pose your open tomorrow.

  9. The ARB is an anti roll bar sometimes called swaybar its a thin (but strong) shaped metal rod that ties the rear end together if you look under the back you will see it......i'll see if i've got a pic to help you.
  10. As said they are p/coated polished rims and cost me £50 a corner, they were done about 3 yrs ago (2yrs stood in the garden,uncovered) was running on 18's but put them back on now and still look as good as the day i picked them up. From here: http://www.lepsons.com/

As its a noise when reversing which means the rear end lifts under acceleration i would check the ARB to see if its loose also the shocks and then its just a matter of eliminating things as you go along eventually im sure you'll get it sorted. If you can get it Tony @ WIM to at least eliminate anything geo related. Good luck

  15. I hate insurance co's.....one year its this co, then the next year its another, i cant be arsed phoning around every year thats why i stay with the same co (its cheap enough as it is).
  16. I had mine done....X reg 6yrs old and only 45k at the time, when the old belt was taken off it had a small nick along the edge running about 2 inches and moving inwards, i supplied all parts, belts/tensioner and a new water pump and fitted for about 400 all inc.
  17. Remove the air box (just a few clips) take the assembly off and i think they are there sitting on top... :D

  22. Yep....we deep clean the carpet in the living room once a year and once furniture is removed place an ice-cube on the spot, let it melt (it relaxes the fibres), clean the carpet....hoover......job done.
