  2. only cost me £250 so it wasnt that bad. I like the orange setup on the standard unit. Just cant put my finger on it really. The blue is pearcing and the screen is fine but just dont like it. Plus the above unit doenst have RDS which i use alot for traffic news going to work
  3. just got the pic from the website just now. Ill get pics of the unit tomorrow.
  4. Well i went and got the autoleads wirign adapter and butchered it for my new DVD head unit. Got it all working. DVD works (i think the TV works cant get a signal where i live) USB port plays mp3's and lets me view pics, CD.s Play and the Radio Works. Its all nice with Blue Leds, It sounds fine. the screen is nice. Just one big problem. I dont like it. Blue leds dont look nice with the orange setup of the Car. Not sure if i really want a screen now. I liked the standard unit with changer and although i cant play MP3 CD's or backup cd's id rather have that than the new shiny sparkly one. I got the screen to play MP3's and such but to be honest I think im going to stick with the Standard head unit. Anyone else had this? on a plus note i have a 6.5 TV/DVD/CD/FM doubl din head unit complete with IS200s Connections for sale.

  10. i got a whole TV/CD/DVD/Radio with 6.5" screen.unit for that price. Plus it has a video in if i wanted to put another AV in. Granted its not touch screen. but i still dont see the need for a PC in the car? MP3's are done by the new head unit or an Ipod, Satnav i have with Tomtom, and i have a laptop with 3g for anythign else. e Its only £19 for a facia from Halfords.
  11. Anyone else noticed that us Lexus drivers seem to be super Courtious to each other. Never see that if your driving a Vauxhall or a Beemer.

  17. i had the choice of tradign in our Meriva and getting a Zafira or keeping the Meriva and gettign my 5 year ild IS200. No brainer. i get my own car that i have wanted for ages and she keeps the kids in her car.
  18. IM thinking about this a double din unit too but unfortunately i have more sence than money and wouldnt dream of paying a grand on a tv head unit. My local ICE place is doing a deal on Kyrain units at £450 fitted anyone ever used or heard of them? http://www.kyrain.com/AIO651.htm
  19. just to throw my hat in the Local Vs Dealer debate. if your car is in Waranty let the dealer do everything. service, repairs whatever. its not worth the hastle if a warranty issue crops up and they refuse to shell out cos you never had your last service with an approved dealer. Cars 3 years and older well its up to the owner but for service, Cambelt change, Brakes, tyres, exauhsts then personally thre is nowt wrong with a local garage. Most of it can be done withought problems and any reputable independant local garage should have access to dealer approved parts if you so request them. Unfortunately in this day and age its not just Dodgy local garages that rip off, Dealers are at it too. My wife worked in dealerships for 16 years and the stories that she tells boggle the mind. Some ***** like being fined £4,000 for not having the Manufacturer approved christmas tree. which just happens to cost yep £4,000. Who do you think pays for either the fine or the Xmas tree. Us punters For one unnamed european manufacturer one dealership gave incentivs to mechanics for more sales personally after having new cars and used cars for me finding a trustworthy garage and stickign with them whether they are dealers or not is important. im lucky my Mate runs a good garage.
  20. Got it all sprayed up and fitted. Its not as good as the standard aerial but most of my journy is round Edinburgh so it will do. Its looks smarter than i thoguh. I will post pics as soon as i can
