  2. I got mine done from Auto Image in Edinburgh who sent them away to Englandshire. Cost me £80 a wheel. But man its worth it. My rims look better than my bloody car at the moment.
  3. Cost me £80 per wheel but they came back looking brand new. worth the extra to get them diamon cut and re furbed. You cna get them powder coated for around £40-60 a wheel
  4. as far as i can tell all IS200 have the 233co2 emissions figure. Just that 1st March 2001 the CO2 tax range came into effect all i know is if i taxed my car yesterday it would have cost £190 today it costs £205.
  5. your at the Wrong page http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/Ownin...cle/DG_10012524 I miscalculated due to the 2006 cut off but i still have to pay £15 more. thank goodness its not £110
  6. Its costing me £110 more for the road tax due at the end of the month.
  7. Looks like our humble is200 will cost £300 a year to tax. Mine is due at the end of the month too Bloody stung for an extra £110
  8. I agree chrome rims on the Lexus cheapens the car
  9. I use standard Unleaded Shell petrol religiously, never used a system cleaner, worth a try as i would really like more mpg. The car recently (3 months) had a service from Lexus. What type of milliage should i get around town on a full tank? I get about 410 driving motorway and being very light footed. I can get about 350 town and heavy footed driving. an IS200 isnt the best car for town driving and fuel economy. buy a smart car if you want that.
  10. £8 for hammerite and a roll of masking tape. few hours and a steady hand and jobs a goodun.
  11. I get anywhere between 320-400 a tank depending on what type of driving i have been doing. Most Driving i do is 10-30 MPH in trafic and 70-80 motorway. Bugger is I am sitting at a tank a week nowadays witht he milage i do. If i am in the office i car share. This helps with the fuel costs.
  12. Im with Chris on that. Waste of money pouttign a HID kit in if 1. its not workign properly 2. its deemed illegal. 3. it costs a fortune and 4. a ste of really good bulbs is £60
  13. If you can get a hold of decent bulbs then £60 for a set is alot cheaper than a HID kit that you may be asked to remove if the Police take a Shine to you forgive the pun.
  14. cheapest and easiest meathod is getting an FM modulator. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/STEREO-RF-FM-MODULAT...1QQcmdZViewItem I have one in the wifes car and i have one to install in the lexus. quality is alot better than one of the ipod itrip things and because you can fit it behind the head unit it can be hidden away with only a cable coming through. Combine it with one of these babies for an Ipod and with a bit of electrical work with a cigarette lighter under the console you have a full Ipod carge and audio system in the car for less than £20. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/iPod-Firewire-sync-c...VQQcmdZViewItem I am just waitign on a Black Nano gen 2 dock to come out and i will be all set.
  15. YET ANOTHER UPDATE i had 3 different types of tyre and i got a mate who owns a garage to get me a a bridgestone tyre (one of the wheels has a new bridgestone on it so i thought id make a pair.) I puchased a spare 17" off ebay (slightly damaged but its a spare so not that bothered) and decided to get the odd tyre put on that one and the new tyre on one of my recently refurbished Wheels. Went to my mates garage and got him to swap over the tyres and put the new tyre on. He said he would get it done for my and come back in an hour. Goes back to pick up the wheels with the intention of putting them on today along with painting my calipers. Picks up the spare puts it in the car, goes back to get the other wheel and thats when i went nuts. My Mate got one of the juniors to change the tyres and the stupid ****** scratched and stripped the lacquer from the wheel. *** i went bazerk. i just paid £80 for that wheel to get refurbished and some stupid 20 year old ruins it putting a £100 tyre onto it. So no changing wheels today. Im Gutted. The wheele hadnt even touched tarmac yet and its ruined again. Im hoping when i see my mate he lets me off with the tyre so i can go and get the wheel refurbished AGAIN. Only consolation is my wheels get a further couple of weeks away from the road salt. im away to cry a bit more now
  16. try a mobile key cutter. they are more likely to have a laser cutter
  17. IF you manage to get the keys id get donw to Lexus and get a spare set cut asap.
  18. Found this link whilst searching www.carsparkplugs.com not used them yet but they have what we want
  19. You still can get done with the police even if you have a car kit. Its all to do with how distracted the police think you are. I have a car kit and i still think its best to switch off the phone all together. After all people cant use their phones when they fly so its not that difficult to stay switched off on a commute. and all you sales people out there dont go on about its my lifeline when im not in the office. How did you all cope before the 80's
  20. i was going to get it today but didnt i thought the games would be pisshy things liek in the Wii Play disc
  21. She has her own car she can Kerb Im not daft enough to let her drive my car
  22. I got my hands on a set of four 17" allo9ys Im hoping to sell my set of five 16" alloys but i will be left without a spare. Is anyone using a space saver or steel rim as a spare? its going to cost another £100 for a spare 17" alloy and thats what i paid for the 4. any ideas for a spare wheel?
  23. UPDATE all 3 wheels are in to get Diamon cut and resprayed back to factory finish costing £80 a wheel. should get the discount negotiator to get me a discount before they come back and i have to pay for them
