  1. Hi and welcom to the LOC hope you find what your looking for. :D
  2. Mines standard at the min but have a couple 1 or 2 things planned but nothing major as got to keep it sensible for work.
  3. Got to hand wash, only yourself can do a proper job as it's your motor and your the one who has to drive arond in it. B)
  4. Car's looking good mate, think i need to give mine a decent clean again soon.
  5. Well it's like that it is Won't be helping you again
  6. I bought my IS sport 2001 about 5 weeks ago, it had 63000 miles on clock and i got it fot £5750, which was a bargain. The car is in mint condition and has 2 years warranty. I knocked the price down a bit but the guy had to sell really quick due to financial problems so guess i was lucky. :D You'll be looking at between 6-7 grand for a IS sport with 60-80000 miles. I wouldnt worry too much about having high mileage with Lexus they last upto 300,000. As long as the car's been serviced reguarly. As for boy racers i wouldnt worry too much as Leuxs isn't really a boy racer car and you tend to find little chavs can only afford nova's and fiestas Just make sure you spend time looking over the whole car, check for noises and play in the wheels. Look at old MOT's to see if the car has failed on anything. Also check service history as to what has been changed in the past. You cant go much wrong with a lexus so sure you'll be very happy with on purchase. You do have to go past 4500 rpm to get the best out of the engine but cruise very well at lower revs. 6th gear is brilliant on motorways and general driving. :D Hope this helps, if there's anything else you need i'm sure you'll find the help you need on here, happy hunting. B)
  7. Hello Robbie from Liverpool, your second names not Fowler is it? Welcome to the LOC, don't forget to get some pics up! Any mod's planned? Sure you'll find the site very helpful and everyone very useful. :D
  8. Hello all new members, There is going to be a local meet on 13th April 2007 about 7.00pm. The location hasn't been set yet but will get somewhere and post that soon. If anyone is interested and would like to join up and meet a few other members, then all are welcome and the more the merrier. If you fancy coming along if you would like to go onto the club meets section and put your name down so we know who will be turning up. Hopefully we can get a few names down and have a good night. Thanks everyone and look forward to seeing you all soon. B)
  9. Cars looking mint mate! Like the weels fit the car well :D
  10. It could be a ball joint, your best bet is to take to the garage and get them to have a look you don't want to wait too long just in case. :)
  11. Looking good mate look forward to seeing it at a local meet. :D
  12. Welcome to LOC, car looks really in spot on. As asked before any plans for mod's? Also i'm sure you'll find the answers to all your questions on here, look forward to seeing you at an event this year. :D
  13. Sure he's correct as long as one tyres not sha**ed and the other good i cant see it being a problem. If one tyre is wearing differently then the other though then you have a problem and personally i've always tried to keep the same tyres on all wheels. As for the motor blackshuck it looks really goood and clean, wheels look in mont condition and the sport grill will finish the front off. Any more plans for mod's? B)
  14. Hi and welcome to the LOC hope you get it all sorted before you leave. :D
  15. If it wasn't clear from my post that the point I was trying to make is that there is a potential £1100 difference between a good and poor condition car, and that the cost of refurbing the wheels can be easily offset by the car commanding a higher asking price as the condition has improved, I do apologise. I see your point but as the wheels are not that bad i didn't think the money spent on refurbishing the alloys would be justified. I don't know which is the best route to take, just don't sell it then you won't have any problems with the wheels Yaumeister, i apologise if it seemed as though i was trying to discredit your opinion was not my intention and my apologies. Of course every one has their own opinion and everyone thinks differently. :D Also, i dont know if you've had a look at the club meets post again as you said you would be interested in a local meet in your area, i've put up a potential date if you want to have a look and let me know cheers mate. B)
  16. Your wheels are actually that bad i've seen alot worse and as long as you do your best to clean them up i don't think it will make a huge difference to selling your car at the end of then day it's a lexus your selling. I don't think you should bother with getting the wheels done your probably be spending more than what you'll get back on the car. B) Anyway whatever you decide to do i hope you sell it quickly and get the price that your after. There's no way the wheels make £1100 difference!! If it does everyone would make sure there wheels are top notch. Private poor price is based on many things being poor with the car not just one thing.
  17. If you have any mod's you have to be careful not delcaring them as if anything does happen and you need to claim, if they come out to inspect car to get a quote then they will question anything that is not standard. If you have mod's that can easily be replaced then you can always swap them if you need to. :) Insurance may not come to inspect anyway if there is an accident so in that case it will not matter. It's just insurance company's trying to swindle more money and doing whatever they can to get out of paying out. :duh:
  18. Think that's a bit extreme to find a rattle
  19. I think red looks good and as said will look good driving along. :D Really like the lexus on calipers that looks spot on!! What's next then? B)
  20. I'm not a fan of chromes myself i think they're too much. But as said each to their own and it's personal opinion, so if you like them mate go for them! B)
